Seller Protection Terms

Effective Date: 05/18/25
Last Updated: 05/21/25

These Seller Protection Terms are designed to safeguard vendors on Okie Market against fraud, false claims, and platform abuse—while upholding a positive experience for buyers.

1. Coverage Overview

Okie Market’s Seller Protection covers Sellers in the event of:

  • False buyer claims (e.g., item not received when tracking confirms delivery)
  • Unauthorized chargebacks
  • Buyer policy abuse

2. Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for Seller Protection, Sellers must:

  • Ship items on time to the address provided by Okie Market
  • Provide valid tracking numbers for all shipments
  • Communicate through the platform and respond to buyer inquiries promptly
  • Follow all listing policies and product guidelines

3. What’s Not Covered

Seller Protection does not cover:

  • Products not shipped or shipped without tracking
  • Items that violate our prohibited items list
  • Custom items where disputes arise from quality or expectations
  • Orders fulfilled outside the platform

4. Dispute Resolution Support

When a buyer files a dispute:

  • Okie Market will gather evidence from both sides
  • If Seller meets eligibility criteria and provides proof of compliance (e.g., tracking, listing accuracy), we will favor the Seller in the final decision
  • In cases of fraudulent buyer activity, Okie Market may compensate the Seller directly

5. Chargebacks

  • If a buyer initiates a chargeback with their bank, Okie Market will contest the chargeback on the Seller’s behalf.
  • Sellers are expected to provide order proof, tracking, and product description screenshots.
  • If the chargeback is reversed in the buyer’s favor and Seller is not at fault, Okie Market may absorb the loss.

6. Appeals

Sellers may appeal decisions within 7 business days of dispute resolution. Appeals must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation.

7. Account Review

Repeated policy violations, excessive disputes, or abuse of Seller Protection may result in:

  • Temporary suspension
  • Withholding of funds
  • Permanent removal from the platform

Payout Timing & Holds

Seller payouts are processed on a monthly cycle and issued by the 10th of each month.

Only orders that are:

  • Marked as “delivered,” and
  • Have passed their standard return window (14 days unless otherwise stated)
are eligible for payout during the current cycle.

Any orders not meeting these criteria will roll into the following month’s payout.

Payouts may be temporarily withheld for the following reasons:

Open disputes or chargebacks

Violations of platform policies

Incomplete order tracking or seller performance concerns

  • New sellers may be subject to an initial probationary hold before their first payout.
